Production Administrator

Situation in organization

This position reports to the site Production Leader


Job dimensions

The jobholder will assist production leadership and supervision with daily administrative responsibilities to in order to maximize their time spent with tactical planning, personnel leadership, and field responsibilities.

General Responsibilities:

Safety – This position requires the holder to be an active participant in site safety programs including BBS

This jobholder will process purchase requisitions for miscellaneous items needed within the production units such as cleaning supplies, special filters, tools, etc.

Will assist in monthly cycle count variance research in conjunction with the Accounting Department

This jobholder is responsible for ACR annual procedure reviews and updates for all controlled documents, including listing, packets, sign-off sheets and completing revisions & controlling documents in the controlled drive

Production Support:

Will create, verify and confirm production orders for the PMC/PA/Waterborne production units.

Will process material receipts of Tin for PMC

Will work with the PMC production personnel in providing inventory spread sheets along with needed documentation for PA and Waterborne units

Will enter Raw Material and finished goods into SAP for PA and Waterborne units along with PMC’s finished goods into Oracle


enter daily finished production for each unit in to the SAP and Oracle systems.

enter Raw Material receipts into the SAP and Oracle systems

manage off grade and re-work material for the PA Unit

manage electronic and paper files for the Production, Logistics and Maintenance Departments

manage all Procedure reviews and revisions necessary for the site except for the PMC Unit

Context and environment

This position is located within the PA control room/office area with contacts in the production units, Warehouses and maintenance offices. Constraints include but are not limited to improper reporting on paperwork from operations and warehouse.


As described in ‘Job Dimensions’. Annual goals to be developed during the planning process and site dashboard to populate the annual PMP.

Complete *assigned training through Success Factors or attendance to assigned Web-Ex or Instructor Led Training (ILT) classes.



Qualifications / experience required

High School diploma or equivalent.

Good inter-personal and communication skills

Knowledge of materials management, month-end closing procedures, and documentation control

Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Requires a high degree of self-motivation

Does not require constant supervision

Experience with use of PC software (SAP, Oracle, Excel, Word)
