The Production Operator reports to the shift Production Supervisor.  The Production Operator will be responsible for the production of acrylic resin via bulk polymerization, compounding and extrusion processes by combing both liquid and solid raw materials. 




  • Follow safe work procedures in the formulation, production, testing and packaging of various grades of acrylic resin. 
  • Control and monitor process conditions through distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Perform manual tasks associated with maintaining operations on each of the production lines.
  • Accurately record raw material usages and finished goods production.
  • Relay pertinent process information to co-workers and supervisor
  • Maintain good housekeeping of work areas
  • Support the plant OSHA PSM, Quality and Environmental, Critical Instruments and testing program
  • Support BST process by performing safety observations.
  • Support Loss Control Policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems




This is a production is located at the Altuglas Bristol, PA plant and will require the willingness to work a 12 hour rotating shift.  The position will climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator


The position supports the site HES policy, complies with all regulatory and internal requirements and participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.).  The role supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.




  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in chemical or manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Ability to drive a forklift preferred
  • Basic skills in MS Office.
