Responsible for leadership of Health, Environmental, Safety, and Quality (HESQ) programs, compliance and continuous improvement to achieve top tier performance in key performance measures. Manages Arkema Integrated Management System (AIMS) program and maintains positive working relationships with regulatory agencies and outside auditors.

  • Develop and coordinate programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory and permitting requirements related to Industrial Health, Occupational Safety, Environment and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
  • Coordinate/conducts training. 
  • Manage Industrial Hygiene program; coordinate routine and/or non-routine air monitoring, sound mapping and Job Exposure Profiles. 
  • Manages contractor safety management program and site security.
  • Conducts and /or coordinates incident investigations. Serves as system manager for IMPACT; leads monthly reviews on the status of incidents investigations and corrective /preventative action status.
  • Manages emergency and contingency plans; serves as an Alternate Incident/Emergency Commander. Assigns key roles and responsibilities as needed to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Leads/Supports LOPA Process Hazard Analysis for PSM and non-PSM processes.
  • Maintains analytical control of the lab methods and corrections, update of SAP parameters, specialized product testing and upkeep of analytical instrumentation. 
  • Leads the coordination and or investigation of all customer complaints.
  • Manages non-conforming product system.
  • Leads quality efforts in terms of external and internal customer, product quality systems (LIMS), work processes and tools to ensure the service level and customer expectations are met.
  • Serves as site ISO9001, OHSAS 18001, PSM and AIMS program coordinator; primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits pertaining to HESQ programs.
  • Provides monthly Quality and HSE metric reporting in IMPACT, including customer service index, first pass prime, first time inspection, quality index, injuries, process safety incidents, etc.
  • Oversees HESQ budgets

 

Required Education / Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or technical field related to Health, Safety or Environmental
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HESQ programs in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with manufacturing management systems, procedures and work processes
  • Professional certification preferred (CSP, CHMM, CIH, CPEA)
  • Six Sigma, Black Belt or Project Management experience or certifications preferred
  • Proven ability to influence actions and mindset in leadership team
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigation techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
