The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with manufacturing and supply chain innovations for new products. The incumbent will interface and work with the Research, Development and Manufacturing teams that are involved in the innovation and manufacture of new products and machine systems for Sartomer Americas – 3D.


Key Activities and responsibilities

  • Effectively manages and owns large and multiple projects/programs independently.  Leads stage gate projects.  May serve as gatekeeper in early project stages.
  • Demonstrates leadership in improvement of HES, compliance, and performance.
  • Specify and develop process technology for new process design and plant improvements.
  • Serves as the 3D technology leader/specialist.
  • May be consulted as a specialist by employees in other divisions or other regions in the company.
  • Subject Matter Expert for multiple areas of technology.
  • Simulation and/or unit operation process expert.
  • Will serve as a mentor for junior project engineers.
  • Significant outreach outside of Arkema.  Contacts in other companies, consultants and professional societies.


Required Education/Qualifications /Work experience

  • Undergraduate degree in chemical engineering is required for this position. Higher degree candidates (MS ChE, PHD) as well as higher experience level preferred. Extensive experience in multiple roles, technologies and or businesses is required.  Aspen simulation would be a considerable advantage. 
  • Additional certifications, such as master black belt lean six sigma would be advantageous. 
  • Overall BS or MS, more than 10 years industrial experience.
  • Well versed in the laws and rules governing the design and implementation of solutions regarding chemical processes. These include federal laws regarding environmental compliance issues, process hazards techniques and manuals, engineering standards, OSHA requirements, PSM, etc.
  • Technical experience in downstream specialty
  • High purity, precision manufacturing
