<span style="font-family: "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Responsible for ensuring optimal operating efficiency and continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and material resource planning. Provides daily production leadership and engineering support to plant.

  • Provides daily direction to operators; works with operators to address safety and housekeeping issues
  • Coordinates through Solenis on any operator performance issues that require corrective actions
  • Trains operators on new process equipment or changes to existing equipment
  • Ensures effective communication and engagement with operators.
  • Minimize unit downtime by defining priorities with maintenance; work with operators to initiate work orders
  • Calculation and evaluation of raw material consumption and production data, operational asset utilization calculations (OAU) and interpretation of process conditions, using tools such as PI Batch.
  • Finalize cycle counts and material usage variance calculations; communicates to Production Support Specialist
  • Provide data into periodic scorecards as necessary for communications to plant teams.
  • Support the mechanical integrity program; work with maintenance to reduce repetitive failures
  • Work with shippers to ensure timely shipments
  • Partners with Process Engineer on technical support to implements plans to reduce costs and improve yields
  • Propose/ implement plant improvements to drive unit continuous improvement.
  • Assists with development of plant operating budget and technical projects
  • Actively participates in the plant Safety Committee; drives behavior based safety culture.
  • Works with Production Support Specialist to meet customer orders and support customer complaints resolution
  • Participates in Management of Change process; ensures NOC and PSSR compliance.
  • Participates in Process Hazard Analysis and Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews as needed
  • Ensure timely completion of investigations and completion of actions generated from HES programs. 
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues, product non-conformances and calibration non-conformances
  • Review daily production log sheets and monthly cost sheets
  • Track production and quality KPI’s and develop improvement plans
  • Supports full environmental compliance and optimal performance; ensure best practices are followed.
  • Participate in PSM and Environmental audits and complete action items
  • Work with Arkema transportation group to ensure plant meets all DOT, IMDG and IATA requirements
  • Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9000 and OHSAS 18001 management systems and/or comparable Solenis management systems

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 7 -10 years chemical manufacturing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MSOffice
  • Exposure to SAP, sales & operations planning processes.
