The Process Engineer provides engineering support to maximize operational efficiency and continuously identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, cost, and capacity. 


Key Activities

  • Provide daily production troubleshooting support in assigned areas.
  • Conduct appropriate root-cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented to address unplanned events.
  • Ensures optimal production and process enhancements of assigned areas, including environmental systems
  • Coaches plant personnel on measurements and daily updates of technology performance/asset utilization data.
  • Partners with operations personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions.
  • Calculation of and evaluation of raw material consumption and production data, operational asset utilization calculations (OAU) and interpretation of process conditions, using tools such as PI Batch.
  • Composes production reports and scorecards as necessary for communications to plant teams.
  • Support Plant initiatives for new product development and Process Technology Projects
  • Prepares and executes Management of Change documentation
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews for assigned projects & processes.
  • Prepares and modifies operating procedures and process documents
  • Develop training documents and plans
  • Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.


Qualifications/Experience Required

  • BS in Chemical engineering and 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • Accident and incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Process Hazard Analysis using LOPA Technique
  • Lean Six Sigma Operational Excellence implementation
  • PLC system programming skills
  • Good communications and organizational skills
