Position: Arkema CFO for Arkema Mexico entities in Mexico and Colombia


Position in the organization chart:

  • Reports directly to General Director of Arkema Mexico
  • Reports functionally to Arkema Inc. CFO
  • Works closely with CFO Group in headquarters


Aspects of the work:

  • Supervision and management of the financial affairs of Arkema Mexico, Arkema Colombia.
  •  In charge of all accounting, tax and related issues
  •  In charge of all finance issues (structure, financing, tax…) including projects in the region, in strong coordination with Corporate Finance Dept. (OPFI) at headquarters
  •  Coordination with outside providers of legal and regulatory issues
  •  Ensure that FP&A needs are fulfilled for the different Business Units
  •  Highly engaged with the business



  • Guarantee the production and reliability of the local & group accounts in accordance with local and internal group rules (IFRS), on a timely basis.
  • Optimize Cash-Flow generation and working capital.
  • Guarantee all reporting to headquarters in due time of all BUs activities working closely with business operations.
  •  Implement Arkema internal control rules; Ensure compliance with such rules and alert, local management as well as Arkema corporate on any behavior appearing to be inconsistent or non-compliant  with local & group rules. 
  •  Organize and manage finance affairs (Treasury, Foreign Exchange Exposure, Tax, Credit Management, Transfer price policy...),
  • Define the right KPIs, implement Risks reporting,
  •  Coordinate external auditors missions
  •   Administratively manage IT staff (Direct line with Americas CIO), define local needs and advocate them.
  • Manage Insurance issues


Context and Environment:

          3 legal entities (2 in Mexico, 1 in Colombia)

          1 headquarter, 2 plants



  • Guarantee the operations in the region respecting local and group rules, managing Tax and foreign      

Exchange exposure and optimize the current situation (fixed costs, Tax, cash management, Automation)

  • Define the best organization for Finance
  •   Strengthen internal control in a complex environment
  •   Participate in future developments of Arkema in the region for finance related topics (Investment and M&A projects)



  • Master’s degree Business School +10 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with ability to lead directly or through influence in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Comfortable and experienced with international and matrix environment
  • Experience abroad highly appreciated
  • Established proficiency in planning, analysis, written and oral communication
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thought process
  • Good working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing industry
  • Good interpersonal relationships, skilled in change management
