The Integrated Supply Chain Manager will be with Arkema Flurochemicals business, based in Arkema King of Prussia, PA office.  This position reports directly to the Regional Group President, Fluorochemicals Americas and indirectly to the Global Supply Chain Director, Fluorochemicals.

The Fluorochemicals Supply Chain organization currently includes the America’s Supply Chain Manager, S&OP Manager, Supply Chain Specialist, Supply Chain Coordinator,  Demand Specialist located in Calvert City responsible for packaged good, and the customer service group (6 FTE) led by the Senior Customer Service team lead reporting to the America’s Supply Chain Manager.

The Fluorochemicals Supply Chain Organization is responsible for developing and executing an operating plan that will meet the service expectations of the commercial functions at the lowest possible cost.  The leader of the organization is responsible for developing organizational strength and the tools and procedures to execute and optimize the entire supply chain process from forecasting to product delivery. 

Periodic travel may be required to Calvert City, KY, to global meetings, customer sites, training, and conferences.  Travel is expected to be <10% of the time. 


Key activities include:

  1. Manage financial targets, including inventory ($110M), receivables ($50M), logistics expenses ($7M), and fixed cost supply chain expenses ($6M),
  2. Ensure the Supply Chain and Customer Service functions operate effectively at or below operating budget
  3. Sponsor value improvement projects across the supply chain to ensure inflationary costs are more than offset by cost savings projects.
  4. Develop rolling 18 months S&OP plan for North America and integrate with Global plan each month using input from sales, Calvert City, global supply obligations, and Business expectations.  Identify potential problem areas and work with the DFL Team to resolve.  This can be related to production capacity, logistics equipment availability, shifts in sales, raw material supply issues, etc. 
  5. Develop business cases for changes in supply chain operations.  Includes, but not limited to: debottlenecking, staffing, equipment purchases/releases, lease arrangements, changes in distribution network, etc. Fleet sizing reviews on a regular basis.
  6. Work with Sales and the Supply Chain Team to improve forecasting and translating this to improve the Integrated Business Planning and the SAP independent requirements used to drive packaging operations.
  7. Optimize the Americas Supply chain including the placement, establishment and management of storage, transloading, blending and packaging operations.
  8. Evaluates the risk profiles of critical raw materials (with US purchasing) and components (with global team) and implements action plans to mitigate risks.
  9. Plans for raw material and component requirements on a monthly and annual basis.
  10. Assists in the review of Arkema capacity projects and the establishment of third party supply chain partners to meet the long term plan needs and ensures that appropriate safety, quality & capability requirements are met.
  11. Oversees and trains resources for information on SAP set up for use of MRP and DRP capabilities.  Business expert in PPOP process, Business Warehouse, Inter-company stock transfer and return processes, tolling process, warehouse transactions, etc.
  12. Oversees the setup of new materials, hierarchies, vendors, terminals, and warehouse location in SAP for the business and provide all required information.
  13. Manages the process for working with Sales to prioritize shipments and to resolve any outstanding supply issues with customers.
  14. Supervises the transactions for all bulk product purchases, terminal, and tolling operations. Reconcile inventories and transactions with vendors.
  15. Ensure that the BU’s quality management and product stewardship requirements are carried out.
  16. Maintain metrics to track performance to plans. Initiate and lead projects to meet the business objectives.
  17. Evaluate, coach and develop team members; create the necessary competency to sustain success
  18. Participate and collaborate in the Arkema Global Supply Chain Leadership team that strives to develop one Arkema supply chain across business units.


Key accountabilities include:

  • Oversight and continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes for the DFL Americas businesses, resulting in highly efficient sales and operations planning and optimization of working capital to meet targets.                                                                 
  • Integration of USA, Canadian, Mexican, Argentina and Brazilian plans into America’s plan and coordinate with global planning requirements and contract execution.
  • Responsible to ensure that receivables are collected timeously with an on time payment >95% for $360M per year revenue
  • Responsible for effective customer vetting for sample process
  • Operations accounting for executing proper transactions and maintenance of records, including annual inventory audits.
  • Finance for proper execution and authorization of purchase orders, goods receipts, inventory moves, etc.
  • Manufacturing for development of executable plans and making sure the necessary resources are available.
  • Purchasing for accurate forecasted needs to ensure RM, logistics, etc. needs can be met and to execute contracts.
  • Supply Chain for coordination of all activities and within the division as well as proper set up of materials, locations, etc.


Qualified candidates for the role meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years chemical industry experience with 5 years minimum experience in supply chain related field is required. Manufacturing background is a plus.
  • Mentoring, coaching and training experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent skills required in SAP and MS Office, an MBA is preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving, organizational and team building skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills are important since the position requires interfacing with multiple organizations.
