The Field Operator reports to Site Manager, with accountabilities to the Plant Engineer. No direct/indirect reports to this role. The Field Operator works in collaborative junction with Field Operators “A/B”.



The Field Operator provides operational support to raw material unloading, Spot Leak® blending, customer order loading processes. Executes operational tasks for filling of all packages (odorant, O-Scent, Paladin®). In addition, will provide maintenance support to improve reliability and efficiency of process. Critical in the data collection and record keeping for regulatory compliance. Non-exempt role. Requires 5-10hrs of overtime per week, occasional weekend work.



  • 60-70% - Executing the operational tasks for Order Fulfillment (EtSH, SpotLeak®, O-Scent, Paladin®).
  • 10-20% - HSEQ responsibilities include, but are not restricted to, those outlined in Leadership expectations… such asreporting any/all incident(s) in a timely manner. Provide or measure compliance data for reporting.
  • 5-10% - Execute maintenance tasks under Preventative Maintenance Plan for Operational equipment, to include bulk - trailers.
  • 5-10% - Complete all internal and/or regulatory requirements/trainings



  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, DOT)
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, SafeWork, Process Safety Management, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury events
  • Willingness to adapt to rapidly changing customer demand
  • Embraces continuous improvement philosophy and adheres to Arkema’s Integrated Management System.
  • Pass Field Operator Training



  • High School Diploma or GED required, Vocational degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years in a chemical process environment or 5+ years in a manufacturing environment



  • Experience with aspects of startups, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and demonstration of organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of process equipment and industry processes.
  • Excellent Verbal and written communications skills required for effective interfacing and compliance reporting.
